Jack returns to Positopia World! But as his adventure through the portal continues, a new challenge awaits him. He was able to get home the last time, but will a three-headed dragon be more than Jack can handle?

This is the story about Jack, a young boy who has an engine to describe his emotions,
that can run red (scared or angry), yellow (worried or nervous), or green (happy and calm).

While playing in his backyard one day, Jack fell through a hidden portal into Positopia
World, a world of bright colors, stunning landscapes, and talking animals. The adorable
woodland creatures helped him learn how to react to things in a healthier way to bring
his engine back into the green.

Today, Jack decides to bring his little sister with him. But, while they are playing on the
coral pink sand dunes, a scary dragon burst forth from the sand, breathing fire in all

Praise from Jack Canfield, NYT Bestselling Author

"One of the major challenges in working with children today is their inability to self-regulate. Through the use of a child’s imagination and their propensity for fun and play, this book teaches kids how to more easily verbalize their feelings and to use simple yet effective self-regulating techniques.  When kids are heard and get their needs met, they are less likely to act out, and they gain self-esteem, self-confidence, and empathy for others.  The adorable illustrations and lovable characters in the book bring the story to life, while making sure that the important lessons about emotional intelligence leave a lasting impression on the readers. I highly recommend that every parent, grandparent, therapist, counselor, and elementary school teacher get a copy of this book and read it to the kids you care about."

As a special education teacher, I enjoyed this book. First, this books has great illustrations! Secondly, the story is engaging. The premise of an engine, with emotions causing it to change colors, seems like it will be interesting for young readers. The emotions cause the engine to change colors, and the colors remind me of the Zones of Regulation colors, but it uses the colors of a traffic light. The book provides examples of coping strategies to calm down when agitated. If I worked with younger students I would use this in my class

I’m a teacher and a grandmother and this book is so useful and helpful to get kids to be able to verbalize their feelings and learn how to face them. And it’s set in a very fun imaginative way that will get kids asking for it again and again.

This book takes a complex topic and simplifies it in a way that a young child can not only understand but actually enjoy learning about it! I am a therapist who works with children and this is a must have for my waiting room. Great concept, amazing pictures , and fun story with an important purpose . Well done !!!

Managing Emotions Disguised as Adventure

Have you ever thought that your brain is like an engine?

Similar to a traffic light, your engine can be green, yellow, or red. When you feel happy or calm, your engine is green. When your engine is green, your muscles feel relaxed, and your breathing is steady. Other times, when you're nervous or angry, your engine is yellow or red. When your engine is yellow, you might pick your fingernails or wiggle in your seat. When your engine is red, you might clench your fists and feel shaky.

Positopia World books feature Jack, who sometimes doesn't know how to control his engine. Disguised as wildly entertaining adventure stories, each Positopia book helps kids learn how to manage their emotions, and introduce exercises that parents, teachers and therapists can use to aid their children and students.
