About Linda J. Cronin, Author

Linda J. Cronin is the creator of Positopia World, a series of children’s books, and therapeutic toys and games, that make learning emotional intelligence fun and engaging. A Smith College psychology graduate with a minor in neuroscience, she blends her professional expertise with her experience as a therapeutic mom to two children adopted from Guatemala in 2008. From her home on Cape Cod—shared with her three beloved cats— Linda designs imaginative, neuroscience-based stories and games that make learning about feelings feel like pure adventure — where kids simply play, imagine, and grow with confidence.

 

A passionate advocate for children’s mental health, she is dedicated to giving kids—and the adults who love them—fun, effective ways to connect, grow, and thrive, together.  She is also an award-winning photographer, and a passionate hiker who finds inspiration in America’s National Parks.

About John F. Sullivan, Illustrator 

The illustrations in a picture book truly bring the pages of the story to life. They help capture the child’s attention and help them understand and remember the story that is being read to them. John F. Sullivan beautifully brought Positopia World, The Hidden Portal to life with his illustrations. 

John F. Sullivan received his Art and Education training at Massachusetts College of Art in Boston, The British Film Institute at the University of Sterling, Scotland, and CALARTS school for Animation in Valencia, California. He taught Cartooning, Animation, and Theater at Barnstable High School for 32 years and was inducted into the National Teacher’s Hall of Fame in Emporia, Kansas in 2004. He has done animations for Turner Feature Animation, Radio Disney for the Walt Disney Company, and a commercial for the local Pizza Shark company.
